Celebrate Fall in Shakopee

This fall, Shakopee is your destination for fall festivals, Halloween scares, and tasty seasonal treats.

Fall Activities

Immerse yourself in a bygone era at the Minnesota Renaissance Festival. From live entertainment and jousting to an artisan marketplace and kids’ attractions, there’s something for everyone. The festival runs Saturdays and Sundays from August 16, 2025 through September 28, 2025, plus Friday, September 26, with special themed events each weekend. Themed weekends include Once Upon A Time (August 16 & 17), Highland Fling (August 23 & 24), Woofstock (August 30 & September 1), Bold North Adventure (September 6 & 7), Experience Love for the Arts (September 13 & 14), Wine, Chocolate & Romance (September 20 & 21), and Oktoberfest (September 27 & 28)

Pick your own apples and pumpkins at Ferguson’s Minnesota Harvest. Kids will love the farm’s Apple Blossom Park, which has a corn maze, wagon rides, and a corn pit. Stop by the craft cider bar for locally-brewed sips and stock up seasonal baked goods at the country store.

Celebrate the season at Sever’s Fall Festival. The huge corn maze and giant slide appeal to all ages, and there are plenty of kid-friendly activities like a corn pit, petting zoo, and play areas.  Bring your camera for seasonal photo ops and chow down on roasted corn, caramel apples, and other tasty fall treats.  The festival runs Saturdays and Sundays September 13 through October 26, plus Thursday, October 16 and Friday, October 17 for MEA break.

Halloween Events

Experience Halloween with the whole family at Valleyfair’s Tricks and Treats.  In addition to the theme park’s rides, admission includes seasonal crafts, live entertainment, and trick-or-treating.  Wear your costume for a chance to win prizes, meet costumed characters, and enjoy special Halloween concessions.

Get scared out of your mind at ValleyScare, the Twin Cities’ largest Halloween event.  After dark, Valleyfair transforms into a terrifying landscape of mazes and scare zones.  For even more spine-tingling chills, brave the park’s thrill rides and catch some creepy live entertainment.

Savor a spooky meal and a show at the Phantom’s Feast.  Held on the grounds of the Minnesota Renaissance Festival, your ticket includes a four-course meal, beverages, entertainment, and a ghost hunt after the show.

Explore a terrifying five acres of scares at Scream Town.  From zombies and scary clowns to a horrifying hayride, the blood-curdling experience will tap into your darkest fears.

Food & Drinks

Stock up on sweets and seasonal goodies at Minnesota’s Largest Candy Store. In addition to every type of candy you can imagine, the store carries locally-grown apples and pumpkins and seasonal baked goods. Don’t miss the fun decor, including murals, an animatronic band, and more.
