2025 Valleyfair Season Preview

Get ready for a season of fun at Valleyfair, the Twin Cities’ amusement park!  Located in Shakopee, Valleyfair has thrills for all ages, with over 75 attractions ranging from heart-pounding coasters to pint-sized rides.  Admission also includes Soak City, a seven-acre water park featuring water slides, splash pads, a lazy river, and a wave pool.  Young guests will love Planet Snoopy’s Peanuts-themed rides, interactive play area, and family-friendly entertainment.

Valleyfair officially opens for the 2025 season on May 11, with a special preview day for season pass holders on May 10.  Soak City will open on May 24.

2025 Special Events

Star Spangled Night—July 4

Celebrate the nation’s birthday with a patriotic fireworks display synchronized to music.  

Juicy Lucy Festival—July 12-13 and July 19-20

This brand-new food festival revolves around the Twin Cities’ famous burger, the cheese-stuffed Juicy Lucy.  In addition to a tasty lineup of creative burgers, expect local beer, cider, and cocktails, plus performances by local bands.

Latin Days—August 2-3

Celebrate Latin culture with a weekend of delicious Latin food, dance performances, and mariachi and Latin-infused pop music.

Corn Fest—Weekends August 16-September 1

Get corny with special sweet and savory corn-based treats, live music, and a corn-eating contest.

ValleyScare—Select nights September 20-October 25

Scare yourself silly at the Twin Cities’ largest Halloween event, with creepy creatures wandering the park, haunted mazes, terrifying scare zones, spooky entertainment, and seasonal food and beverages.

Tricks and Treats—Select dates September 27-October 26

Enjoy a family-friendly Halloween event complete with festive activities, entertainment, themed food and drinks, a costume contest, and trick-or-treating.

New Entertainment

Beyond rides and attractions, Valleyfair offers a lineup of top-notch entertainment.  New shows for 2025 include SoundCycle, a pedal-powered musical experience; Hoops 101, an interactive hula hoop show; and Happiness is…, a show that celebrates the Peanuts’ 75th anniversary.

Other Valleyfair entertainment this season includes Summer Smash-Up, a music and dance show; The Drifters, beachy-vibe music act; and Music Goes ‘Round and Around, a Peanuts musical show.  You can also get a photo with the Peanuts characters at scheduled meet and greets throughout the day.
