2026 Valleyfair Season Preview

Celebrate 50 years of summertime fun at Valleyfair! From roller coasters to Planet Snoopy to the waterslides at Superior Shores, the park’s 75-plus rides and attractions offer something for all ages. Valleyfair opens for the 2026 season on May 10, with a special preview for season passholders on May 9.

New in 2026

Brand new in 2026 is Superior Shores Waterpark, an expansion of the existing waterpark with an updated lakeside theme. Don’t miss the 13 new slides and attractions, including Lighthouse Landing, a multi-slide tower with exhilarating tube and dual-mat racing slides, and Minnow Bay, a family-friendly lagoon with eight kid-sized slides and interactive water features. Favorites from past years remain, including the Breakers Bay Wave Pool, Superior Plunge drop and speed slides, and the Ripple Rapids lazy river. Superior Shores Waterpark opens for the season on May 23. As always, the waterpark is included in Valleyfair admission.

Big Thrills

Adrenaline seekers will find excitement galore on Valleyfair’s thrill rides. The park’s eight roller coasters run the gamut from the wooden High Roller to the spiraling towers of Steel Venom. The 207-foot elevation makes Wild Thing one of the park’s most iconic coasters, reaching speeds up to 74 miles per hour. Beyond coasters, you can rocket up 240 feet in the air or drop 250 feet on the Power Tower, and zoom over 12 stories into the air on the Xtreme Swing. Enjoy views of the park and speeds up to 40 miles per hour on the North Star, a swing ride that lets you soar 230 feet above the ground.

You’ll also find carnival rides like the Scrambler and Tilter. Take a ride on the bumper cars in honor of Valleyfair’s 50th anniversary—the retro ride has been a park staple since its inaugural 1976 season.

Family-friendly Fun

Valleyfair is a destination even the littlest members of the family will enjoy. Find mild thrills on the Peanuts-themed kiddie rides and sing along at the musical shows at Planet Snoopy. Take a break from the heat in the air-conditioned Peanuts Playhouse, an interactive foam ball area complete with cannons and slides. There are also plenty of family-friendly classic amusement park rides including a ferris wheel, swings, teacup ride, and a whimsical antique carousel.

Admission for kids 2 and under is free of charge. Season ticket holders can register for a free Pre-K season pass for kids ages 3-5 by June 15.

Delicious Dining

From amusement park staples like funnel cakes and popcorn to a 1950s-style diner, Valleyfair has delicious eats to keep you fueled all day long. You’ll also find elevated options like local brews, smoked meats, and seasonal salads.
