Learn a bit more about the storyteller below!
Pam Schweitzer
Pam is passionate about bringing the magic of stories to children and the chime of “tell us a story” brings a sparkle to her eye. She grows imaginations and encourages children to trust their own unique voice. She weaves movement, chants and songs throughout her stories so children can actively participate.
Sue Searing loves to share stories with audiences of all ages. She used to work as a librarian at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where she helped students who were studying to be children’s librarians. When she saw how much fun they had in their storytelling class, she decided to take the class too. That’s how she discovered that everyone loves a good story, and that she has a talent for engaging audiences, young and old alike.
Sue’s favorite stories include traditional folk and fairy tales from around the world, true stories drawn from history, and original tales based on her own life experiences. Sue has won story slams in the Twin Cities and took first place in the Great American Story Contest in Park Rapids, MN. She’s told stories at the State Fair, in schools and theaters, breweries and coffeehouses, and online. Her stories are often heard on Stay Human, a weekly program on northern Minnesota’s community radio stations, KAXE and KBXE.
