Renaissance Festival 

Saturdays and Sundays, August 17-September 29, 2024, plus September 2 and 27, 2024

Explore a fantastical 16th-century realm at the country’s largest Renaissance Festival.  Cheer on the live armored jousting, browse the handcrafted wares from over 250 artisans, and feast on delicious foods and beverages.  The festival also features kid-friendly games and attractions, from crafts and games to the chance to meet a fairy or mermaid.

Ferguson’s Minnesota Harvest 

Opens August 24, 2024

Savor the season by picking your own apples and pumpkins.  Kids will love the orchard’s Apple Blossom Park, which has a corn maze, corn pit, gem mining, duck races, and apple cannons.  Grownups can sip a craft cider and browse the pre-picked apples, fresh baked goods, locally-made jams and gift items at the farm market. 

Sever’s Fall Festival 

Saturdays and Sundays, September 14-October 27, 2024, plus October 17-18, 2024

The trickiest part of Sever’s Fall Festival is deciding what to do first!  From a corn maze and giant slide to an extreme corn pit and petting zoo, there are fun fall activities for all ages.  You’ll also enjoy live family entertainment and tasty fall treats like caramel apples and freshly roasted corn.  Soak up the autumn spirit with a hay ride and pick your own pumpkin from the patch.

Minnesota’s Largest Candy Store 

Open through November 

Treat yourself to some goodies from the massive selection of nostalgic and international candies, plus locally-made baked goods, unique sodas, popcorn, and more.  Throughout the fall, you’ll also find Minnesota-grown apples, pumpkins, and other fresh produce.  The store is a feast for the eyes as well as the taste buds, with quirky attractions like superhero and Disney-themed murals, an animatronic band, and much more.

Prepare to be scared out of your mind at the Twin Cities’ largest Halloween event.  Brave six immersive haunted mazes, three scare zones, and the park’s thrill rides.  There will also be eerie entertainment and Halloween-inspired food and beverages. 

Tricks and Treats

Saturdays and Sundays, September 28-October 27, 2024 

Combine Valleyfair’s rides and attractions with Halloween festivities at this family-friendly daytime event.  Enjoy themed activities, live shows, a costume contest, seasonal food and drinks, and plenty of candy.

Canterbury Park Oktoberfest 

October 14-16, 2024

Toast Oktoberfest with local craft beer, authentic German brats and pretzels, and live entertainment at Canterbury Park.  The event will also feature specialty vendors, a brat eating competition, beer stein holding contest, cornhole tournament, and polka lessons.  Wear your festive garb for a chance to be crowned the best dressed German.  Special kid-friendly activities are scheduled for Sunday Family Day, including crafts, face painting, and a dachshund parade. 

Phantom’s Feast
