2023 Valleyfair Sneak Peek

From thrilling coasters to kid-friendly shows, Valleyfair has something for everyone!  The Upper Midwest’s largest amusement park opens for the 2023 season on Sunday, May 14, with Soak City Waterpark’s opening day set for Saturday, May 27.  Here’s your sneak peek at this season’s special events, new dining options, and more at Valleyfair.

Exciting Special Events

Season Pass Preview Day, Saturday, May 13, 2023

Platinum, Gold, Silver, and Pre-K pass holders get to start the Valleyfair season a day early with a passholder-only preview.  Get your 2023 season passes here.  

New this year is a Silver Pass that includes park access every day except Saturdays, free parking, and discounts—it pays for itself in just two visits!  

Grand Carnivale, select dates June 24-July 9, 2023

Enjoy an international extravaganza complete with live music, tasty eats from around the world, games, and crafts.  Don’t miss the Spectacle of Color Parade, which features lavish floats and street performers, culminating in a high-energy block party.

Fourth of July Fireworks, Tuesday, July 4, 2023

Celebrate the nation’s birthday at Valleyfair!  The fireworks show is back and bigger than ever—catch it from the top of the Power Tower for an unforgettable experience.

Latin Days, August 5-6, 2023

With live music and dance performances by Latin local groups and Latin foods, this weekend-long festival is a great way for everyone to celebrate Latin culture.

Tricks and Treats, select dates September 30-October 29, 2023 

From the fall festival-inspired Land of Treats to the spooky Land of Tricks, Valleyfair’s Tricks and Treats is a family-friendly Halloween event filled with candy, seasonal treats, and fun activities.

Delicious New Eats and Drinks

Stop by the new Xtreme Confections dessert shop for classic and over-the-top treats.  Savor a mini donut sundae, snack on funnel cake fries, and don’t miss the Xtreme Elephant Ears, large discs of fried dough topped with cinnamon sugar and your choice of toppings.

With a lineup of local craft beers, cocktails, and mocktails, Wild Thing Brews and Spirits offers refreshing drinks in a convenient location near the ever-popular Wild Thing roller coaster.

Sensational New Entertainment

Younger guests will love the new Peanuts-themed Jungle Journey show at the Planet Snoopy Stage.  Check out the acoustic beach vibes of The Drifters at Soak City.  Brass band Work Zone will be roaming throughout the park to pump you up.
