Fall Fun in Shakopee
Summer flew past in the blink of an eye! As we bid the warm season goodbye, it’s time to look ahead to many exciting fall activities featured in Shakopee. Apple picking, Renaissance Festivals, and haunted house tours are just a few of our favorite fall things and we’re thrilled that the weather is finally cooling of. It’s time for the fall fun to begin!
Sever’s Fall Festival and Corn Maze
Sever’s Fall Festival is a spectacular family-run festival that runs four generations deep. The Midwest’s original Fall Festival is back in its 21st year and it’s more exciting than ever! Pick your pumpkins, gourds, squash, apples, and grab some honey–all of which is locally grown and produced by the family.
The corn maze is also back at Sever’s Fall Festival this year. Cut each year by hand without the aid of GPS, the maze is bigger than last year and more complicated than ever!
ValleySCARE and The Great Pumpkin Fest at Valleyfair
Through the end of October, Valleyfair turns into something more mysterious, spooky, and downright frightening. Valleyfair transforms into ValleySCARE–a place full of haunted mazes, scare zones, and monsters stalking through the park. Are you brave enough to visit? Are you skilled enough to make it back out?
The Great Pumpkin Fest at Valleyfair
It’s back this year for younger kids who aren’t interested in ghouls and ghosts. During the day at Valleyfair, join Snoopy and his friends as you enjoy your favorite rides, meet a storytelling witch, and even participate in the Great Pumpkin Parade!
We’re shaking in our socks! The Trail of Terror offers a few different attractions and even some for the faint of heart. Their scare-free attractions include an escape room, karaoke, Knockerball, and the Giant Twister!
Fright seekers are welcome to book a stay at Hotel 666, take a stroll through the Howling Pines, grab a slice at Chuckle’s Pizzeria and more. Which haunted attraction will you be brave enough to try?
With 8 different haunted attractions to choose from, Scream Town lives up to its name. Join them on October 29th for a special lights out event. That’s right, no lights allowed!
Minnesota Harvest Apple Orchard
Apples are the perfect fall fruit (pie, anyone?) and apple picking is the perfect fall activity! The Minnesota Harvest Apple Orchard offers 25 varieties of apples for picking. Go home with a bushel of apples to munch on for the rest of the season. If you run out, come on back! Apples are available into November.
In addition to apple picking, the Minnesota Harvest Apple Orchard also offers a petting zoo for kids to explore. Meet new animals up close and personal! There are tons of shopping opportunities as well. Make sure you save room for brunch too!
Minnesota Renaissance Festival
Take a step back in time at the Minnesota Renaissance Festival. Featuring 16 stages of live entertainment, over 250 artisans, and more food than you can shake a stick at.
A six-week celebration of Chinese culture, the Lantern Light Festival features massive lanterns, captivating performances, and tasty food. This is one for the whole family to enjoy!
